Annual Rosh Hashana Campaign

Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, brings with it feelings of renewal, introspection, joy, and appreciation. However, for those who cannot afford necessities such as food, bus fare, heating, electricity, or rent, sadness and despair overshadow the holiday spirit.

Each year, The Givat Sharett Chesed Committee organizes its Rosh Hashana appeal, to reach out to mothers, fathers, singles, the elderly and single parents. In total, close to 1,000 families and individuals in Beit Shemesh receive assistance over the holidays. We provide vouchers for the purchase of food for the Chagim, as well as other forms of financial relief, all of which honor the dignity of the recipient and bring hope for the year to come.

Together with our corporate sponsors and generous donors, we make every New Year count, by changing the lives of those in need.
Please join us in our mission of helping our neighbors and the residents of our city to enjoy the holidays.  With your support we can make an immediate impact on countless households.
